Lenovo is a great mobile phone company in that they offer a lot of midrange phones that are priced lower than its competitors.

In today’s article, I will talk about one of their latest midrange phones in the market: the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note.

Although this mobile phone is considered to be a midrange phone, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note actually has premium looks.

It’s got an all glass front with three capacitive buttons at the bottom for recent apps, home, and back buttons.

On the back panel, you can see that all-metal chassis. It sports a metallic monotone look and it looks pretty stylish.

On the right side of the phone, you will see the volume rockers as well as the power button. On the back side, you will see the rear camera with a single LED flash, a speaker grille, and the fingerprint scanner which looks round and is situated just below the rear camera.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is really catered to people who want to do a lot of media consumption on their mobile phones.

This phone comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1080 and a pixel count of 401ppi. Although there isn’t anything new with the specs because it is pretty much the standard among midrange phones, you are treated with a vibrant display that is fit for media consumption.

To help amplify the media-viewing experience, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is equipped with a single speaker grille located at the back and it also comes with the Dolby Atmos technology. The feature can be a hit or miss depending on what type of movie or media you’re currently enjoying on the mobile phone. I find that the feature is best used when viewing outer space movies like Interstellar, for example.

As for the operating system, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note comes with the Android Lollipop 5.1. Hold your horses! Before you complain, there is actually a notification for you to update to the latest Android Marshmallow operating system, so do not fret!

The phone also comes with 32GB of storage and it can support up to 128GB of microSDXC card storage. I suggest buying the Class 10 ones for better read and write speeds.

The performance package of the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is actually a tad better than other midrange phones currently on the market.

This phone is equipped with the Helio P10 octa-core processor that is clocked at 1.8GHz. When running multi-threaded applications like Facebook, you will never notice any lag whatsoever. Even in normal applications, the phone works seamlessly and without a hitch.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note also comes with the Mali-T850MP2 GPU and a respectable 3GB of RAM which is good enough for most cases.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note’s camera is respectable but do not expect too much from it. The phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. Both of them have LED flash but the rear camera also has the phase detection autofocus feature as well.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is probably one of the best midrange phones that are currently on the market. And, word on the street says that when you buy the phone today, you are also going to receive a VR headset kit absolutely free!

There are a lot of diet advice out there on the internet that are just not true. Things like “you have to starve yourself in order to lose weight” or “you have to workout 6 times a day and only rest once a week in order to shed off the pounds”.

As prevalent as these diet advice are, they are just not true. If you truly want to lose weight or build muscle, you need to know the right information.

There are many popular diet myths circulating on the internet and in this article, I will debunk 5 of the most popular ones. Starting with…

  1. Crash Dieting is the Best Diet Ever. You’ve all heard about Crash dieting, right? The premise of crash dieting is to severely restrict your calorie intake. In other words, you starve yourself. This diet myth prevails up to this day because of what we were taught in our early years of education. We are taught that calories contribute to our weight gain and that not eating anything at all will result in us not gaining weight. Sounds simple, right? The problem with this myth is that it is not how our body’s work. You see, when we deprive ourselves of food and we forcefully starve ourselves thinking that it will help us lose weight, it will just slow down our metabolism. That is because our bodies would think that it didn’t get any nutrition and thus, it will undergo a “survival” phase wherein metabolism is put on the back seat. If you want to lose weight, do not starve yourself, period.
  2. Compensating Increased Calorie Intake with Exercise. A lot of people think that they can just burn the calories they’ve taken in through vigorous exercise. Technically, you do burn calories when you workout, but if you’re trying to lose weight, I suggest you change your eating habits. According to health experts, workouts only contribute 30% of your weight loss endeavors and the remaining percentage is tied to your diet. You can have cheat meals from time to time, but do not expect that by compensating it through exercising will help you in the long run. Keep your diet in check.
  3. Low-calorie Foods are the Way to Go. I am willing to bet that your local supermarket has tons of “low-calorie, low-fat” foods. A lot of people tend to think that by eating these substitutes that they will lose a lot of weight. But, some researchers disagree with this. Eating low-calorie food variants actually help you eat more because of the fact that these foods lack flavor. What do experts advocate? Eat real, fresh foods and watch your portions.
  4. Depriving Yourself. This is pretty common in diet communities. Depriving yourself of the foods you want to eat is the way to go if you want to lose weight, but that doesn’t really help in the long term. If you continuously deprive yourself, you’re sucking your willpower so much. I will not be surprised if you just snapped one day and just eat a lot of unhealthy foods because of this. So, what are you going to do? Do not deprive yourself. If you want to eat pizza, you can do so. Just make sure that you do not eat the entire pizza; a slice or two would suffice.
  5. Diet Pills is the solution to weight loss. There are a lot of weight-loss pills out on the market. I am not saying they’re not effective but if you’re solely relying on them, you will not enjoy long-term weight loss. Remember, weight-loss pills are just supplements and should remain as such. Supplements should not replace your actual meals; you still need to eat right.

I hope that this article has enlightened you about the 5 popular diet myths. If you truly want to lose weight, do it the right way. This article serves as a guide for you.

Mobile phone companies ventured into the budget-friendly realm. Years before, they just want to put up the best possible phone with impressive specs and performance out there on the market, but they find that not a lot of people can afford such a phone.

Motorola was the first mobile phone company to venture into the affordable mobile phone category and they’ve enjoyed much success. All other companies followed suit, thus, the affordable phone category was on.

Today, we are going to talk about the Xiaomi Redmi 2. This is one of the most affordable mobile phones out there that just costs $120. Does it have what it takes for it to be worth $120? We will find out in this article.

The design of the Xiaomi Redmi 2 isn’t stylish but that is to be expected when a mobile phone is in the budget category. It still sports the same design to its predecessor, the Redmi 1s.

At the front, you will only see three capacitative buttons at the bottom and a front camera at the top portion. At the back, you will see the rear camera with the MI logo at the bottom. The company opted for a black and white theme where the black color can be found on the front and the white at the back.

The display of the Xiaomi Redmi 2 is a 4.7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1280x720 and a respectable 312ppi. Since this is not a midrange phone, to say the least, having a 720p resolution screen is permissible. The screen does suffer from broad daylight, however, but it still is okay in most scenarios.

As for the operating system, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 has the Android Kitkat 4.4.4 with their MIUI 6.4 overlay. For those of you who do not know, MIUI is Xiaomi’s proprietary operating system overlay that is quite pleasing to the eyes. Unfortunately, this overlay does not have an app drawer, so that is either a downside or an upside depending on how you view it.

The camera is subpar at best. This phone comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and only a 5-megapixel for the front camera. The photos are quite decent but there really isn’t any wow factor to it.

Under the hood, you will find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with clock speeds of 1.2GHz, an Adreno 306 GPU, and 2GB of RAM. The specs are pretty okay with some occasional lag when playing graphic-intensive games. Still, it performed really well when conducting benchmark tests and I could see this phone to be an affordable daily driver.

The Xiaomi Redmi 2 also comes with a 2,200 MaH battery. It may be a measly 2,200 battery capacity but since the screen is only 720p and the processor isn’t power-hungry, this phone could last you a day or two.

And finally, I love the fact that the Xiaomi Redmi 2 offers dual 4G LTE connectivity. What I mean by this is that it has 2 SIM slots and you can plug your 4G LTE-enabled SIM in either of the SIM slots and it would still work.

If I were you, I would get a mobile phone signal booster so that I will not have any problems with low signal reception.

The Xiaomi Redmi 2 is an okay mobile phone for daily use.

Most people nowadays are buying mobile phones to watch their favorite movies or TV shows on it. I mean, mobile phones these days are more than capable of doing just that. They come with big screens and they are much snappier than ever before.

Today, we are going to take a look at a mobile phone that was designed to be used primarily for media and productivity purposes. I am referring to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Let’s talk more about the design aspect first. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a much better in terms of build quality. The mobile phone now has a metallic rim surround it and it does not feel plastic-like compared to its predecessors.

The back cover of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is made out of leather making it feel sturdier than ever before. I do not like leather back covers, but hey, they look stunningly impressive when you see and hold it in real life.

The power button and volume rocker controls are situated on the right side of the mobile phone. Even though this phone is kind of big, it is surprising that the buttons can be reached without any problems.

As for the display, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has an impressive 5.7-inch QHD display with a very high resolution of 2560x1440 resolution with a ppi of 515. That is really impressive considering that this is a mobile phone.

Watching movies or TV shows with this phone is a visual treat as colors are able to pop up more. Heck, even gaming with this mobile phone is a joy to watch. The screen is big enough for people to enjoy media and it is small enough to fit in the pocket.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 also comes with the S-Pen just like its predecessors. But, this new iteration Note 4 has a much better S-Pen in that is now more precise and more accurate. In fact, you can use the S-Pen to write notes, for example, and it everything that you do will be accurately registered on the mobile phone.

A lot of people were impressed with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4’s S-Pen and a lot of them think that it is a worthy addition to complement the QHD screen.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 ships with Android Kitkat 4.4.4, but you now have the option to update the operating system to the latest Android Marshmallow. It is intriguing because it will be the first Samsung mobile phone to ever get the update. So if you can, be sure to update the operating system to the latest and greatest.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is powered by a quad-core processor that is clocked at 2.7GHz and it is coupled with 3GB of RAM as well. The mobile phone is also packed with a beefy 3220 MaH battery so that it can survive long stretches of media viewing.

And lastly, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is also impressive. The rear camera is a 16-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization, which helps you take better photos even when you have shaky hands.

Furthermore, the front camera is also a treat as it can be angled 90 degrees so that you can take better selfies.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a really impressive media mobile phone and it can also be used for productive purposes as well. This mobile phone is fantastic and it costs only $550.

The case has a very sturdy construction, and it is really true to its name when they say that it offers "military-class" protection. Furthermore, I get uninterrupted LTE signals every hour of the day. So I am here to tell you, this signal booster really works!"

weboostIn today’s world, we need the Internet more than ever. What was used as a means of entertainment can now be used for Businesses as well. To adhere to that standard, the 4G LTE medium is released. This promises greater speeds as opposed to the previous version 3G.

Now, that being said, you need to have good signal strength to be able to enjoy non-stop entertainment and good clarity of calls or VoIP applications. But, what if you’re in an area where signal can’t get through?

Getting a signal booster is a wise choice. Signal boosters acts as a repeater or an amplifier of weak signals. It gets even the faintest signal and it is able to amplify it and broadcast those strengthened signals wherever you need it.

If you’re looking for a good signal booster, then you may want to take a look at weBoost’s Connect 4G Cell Phone Booster Kit. The weBoost Connect uses a yagi-directional antenna to get signals.

The Yagi-directional antenna is an antenna that gets signals from one source. In short, you can focus on the direction of your service provider’s cell tower in order to gain the maximum amount of signal possible.

The weBoost Connect should be mounted on a high-place, preferably the rooftop or the highest floor of your house. This is to ensure that you will get a good amount of signal from your service provider’s cell tower.

According to their website, you can get signals of varying degrees depending on how much signal you can currently get. For example, if you can get 3-4 bars of signal strength, you can receive up to 3,500 sq. feet of amplified signals inside your home.

Now, I did mention earlier that the weBoost Connect is a kit, right? When you buy the weBoost connect, you will receive these items:

  • weBoost Connect 4G 65dB amplifier
  • weBoost Directional Outside Antenna
  • weBoost Panel Inside Antenna
  • 30' White Low Loss Cable (950630)
  • 2 x 15' White Low Loss Cables with Barrel Connector
  • 8" Flat Coax Cable
  • AC Power Supply
  • Installation Guide

Now, on to the installation of the product. The installation may require you to do some drilling, so if you’re not comfortable doing it, you can hire a contractor or electrician to do it for you.

Keep in mind that the best possible location to put the booster is in the highest platform of your house. That is why it is preferred that you put it on your rooftop. Furthermore, upon putting the yagi-directional antenna on the rooftop of your house, run the cable to the amplifier.

The amplifier needs to be plugged into a power source for it to work. Basically, just attach the cables to their appropriate ports (attach the shortest cable to the “Outside Antenna” port and the 30ft cable that comes with the antenna to the “Inside Antenna” port.

Power it on and you’re good to go! The only thing to keep in mind is the placement of the Antenna, other than that, installation should be a breeze.

If you’re looking to boost your service provider’s signals, weBoost Connect 4G Cellphone booster kit is a good choice.

Your R4 card will operate exactly the same in the R4 3DS edition.

Firmware kernel improvements are launched whenever necessary to get a fresh system upgrade for the Nintendo 3DS XL or 3DS consoles. That exact firmware will allow the R4 card to continue to function on the 3DS XL the same like it would on your standard 3DS.

Now... It's crucial say that for the R4 card to operate on the 3DS XL, it needs to be a 3DS R4 card which is compatible. The majority of the older R4 cards and original cards were designed for only the DS Lite and DS, and as a result, they will not be able to function on the Nintendo 3DS XL or 3DS consoles. This entire post assumes that the card can operate on the 3DS original games console.

Your 1st step would be to ensure that you have obtained the appropriate firmware for your own card from the R4 3DS firmware division. Every R4 card contains its very own special firmware kernel records. The setup details are basically the similar for each R4 Card, the only difference would be in the files you wind up getting in your firmware archive file package.

1. Unarchive or uncompressed the R4 firmware.rar file. You will see that the file name is the same as the card type, and this will be archived or compressed in either ZIP format or RAR.

2. Once you’re the folders are created through WinRAR or WinZip, you then have to press to open the file, and not simply duplicate the R4 FIRMWARE folder to your own memory card. This is really due to the fact that you have to place the files all in the ORIGIN of your memory card.

What exactly is the root of your memory card? Just look at it as a window which opens when you hit the removable drive option in your MAC or Windows file manager. With nothing in your main folder in any way.

3. On completion of copying the firmware files, you may grab some cool 3DS homebrew programs or games that you use and can download for free on your R4 from our very own 3D homebrew webpage. We constantly updating that webpage with applications and a growing number of homebrew games on a regularly.

The Gateway 3DS is a super star (or at the very least an expected super star) among gamers. It was introduced in June 2013 and was met with high expectations. The question is almost a year later does it really meet the expectations that everyone had.

The purchase nets you 2 cards and a case. The red card is for the 3ds games from 4.1 to 4.5 firmware. The blue cartridge is for Nintendo DS flash carts. Do they meet their hype? That really depends on who you ask.

Die hard users are happy with the Gateway 3DS and they do not mind the added costs. Other less experienced users do not notice the difference and do not feel like the cost is justified. Whether this is the card for you or not depends on your level of experience and your need for customization.

The Pro's

These are one of a kind flashcards that allow the user to play a host of regional games as long as they fall within a certain level of firmware this is actually a blessing and a curse because while they are very up to date today in 6 months from now they may not be. As the firmware changes and it will there will be certain steps that have to be taken to up date the cards.

Of course since the cards are readily able to expand it means that you do not have to run out to buy a new card as things evolve.

The Con's

The most obvious con is the cost. The Gateway 3DS is probably 1/3 more expensive than other cards with like abilities. The cost can be justified but most people would rather save some cash and get a flash card that performs well and that is still affordable.

There are some compatibility issues as well that takes some special tweaking but with a little know how and a bit of time you can work through the issues.

Overall

Overall the performance is there and it is worth the extra expense. You do not feel any raised chips under the label like you may with other less expensive flashcards. The storage case is convenient and the cases are sturdy.

You can tell the difference in cost between this card and the bargain basement brands. It works well and is built well which some people feel offsets the extra costs that you have to pay for this type of card.
